About Tamara

Tamara T. White is a fifteen-year veteran of award-winning public relations & marketing departments.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of California Davis, an Accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America (APR), and a Digital Marketing Certificate from the American Marketing Association.

She has won numerous awards and accolades that include the 2016 PRSA-LA Prism Award, Strategic Campaigns and Programs, Bringing a Healthy Message to the 2016 Rose Parade; 2012 PRSA-LA Prism Award of Excellence, Public Affairs Category for the New West Hollywood Library; California Association of Public Information Officer’s (CAPIO) 2012 Award of Merit, New Media Strategy; CAPIO Award of Excellence, 2011 Award of Distinction, Community Newsletter; CAPIO 2011 Award of Distinction, Website; and CAPIO 2011 Award of Excellence, New Media Strategy.

In 2006, she founded The White Foundation, which provides scholarships to graduating seniors at her alma mater, Madera High School which is located in California’s Central Valley.

She loves sunshine, coffee, flip flops and the bragging rights that come with being a third-generation Californian. In her spare time she writes fiction and essays.
